This is the catalogue for John Li’s solo exhibition at the Hui Gallery (New Asia College, The University of Hong Kong) in 2000. Featured is a collection of John Li’s recent figure drawings and paintings. “My figure drawings are built on Chinese calligraphy and drawing. The forms and lines of calligraphy facilitate the art of both calligraphy and painting. This is a merit and a valuable legacy that traditional Chinese art has given us.” Li says in the Foreword of the publication.
An artist’s biography is also included.
