The Rockefeller Foundation Media Arts Fellowships were established in 1988 to support gifted film, video and multimedia artists from the United States each year. The program encourages artists to create new works that bring innovation to the media arts. Whether through new technologies or classical traditions, artists are encouraged to redefine, invent, explore, create and recreate visions and stories that reflect our diverse cultures. The present publication showcases works by all the fellowship recipients between the years 1998 and 2002. With artist biographies.
