This is the opening speech by Danny Yung at the "Creative Industries, Creative Hong Kong Forum" organised by Hong Kong SAR's Central Policy Unit in September 2003. In his speech, Yung underlines the emergency of "creative industries" is a critique and feedback to the old trade, and he advocates the need of visionary and dynamic policy research on creative industries, policy-making and development strategies.
