'Crosscurrents' is the collective title of a number of exhibitions of new media art that together comprise a cross cultural discourse on art, sound, image and object. It is a travelling project starting from Shenzhen, stopping at Hong Kong and Singapore. In each of these cities, new artworks will be added to enter into dialogue with the existing pieces. In Hong Kong, 'Crosscurrents' includes 2 components: 'Sharing Memory' and 'Ambient Art'.  'Ambient Art' is an exhibition by Hong Kong artist Kingsley Ng that includes a new piece called 'Musical Wheel' commissioned by Osage especially for this exhibition. The artist aims to generate a more complete environment surrounding the audience by synthesising sound, light, sculpture and site specific environments, and offers a counterpoint to the work of the Chinese artists. Artist biography is provided in this catalogue.
