This article profiles Alice King, the co-founder and director of Alisan Fine Arts. Established in 1981, Alisan was the first professional art gallery in Hong Kong and over the years has helped to build the reputation of Chinese artists living and working abroad, such as Paris-based Zao Wouki and Amsterdam-based Walasse Ting. King is also chairman of the Ink Society, whose mission to promote the modern form of Chinese ink art.
