The catalogue for the joint exhibition of Chinese artists Mao Tongqiang and Song Yongping held in Beijing in 2001. Focusing on distorted human faces, Mao’s paintings can be seen as a visual representation of the artist's view towards the growingly popular plastic surgery industry. Song Yongping, on the other hand, photographed his parents coping with severe illness and on their death beds. Through these photographic images, he was able to reflect on their pain, their past, and his feelings as a son. Biographical information of the artists is included.
