The catalogue was published to accompany Deepak Shinde's exhibition of the same name held at Jehangir Art Gallery from 6 to 13 February 1997. The catalogue takes a retrospective look at Shinde's work during the 25 years between 1971 to 1996, dividing them into stylistic sections of 'Abstraction', 'Figuration', and 'Contemplative Figuration'. It also includes the artist's biography and chronology.
