The turmoil of the financial markets have resulted in sale totals that fell below estimates at Frieze Art Fair in London, and most likely at the Foire Internationale d'Art Contemporain (FIAC) in Paris. At FIAC's VIP preview, few high-ticket items had sold. Interviewed were New York's Christophe Van De Weghe and other art gallery representatives. Prices and sales of works by Jean-Michel Basquiat, Andy Warhol, Damien Hirst and Sherrie Levine, Anish Kapoor, and Subodh Gupta are discussed.
