Ding Yi is considered one of the pioneer abstract painters in China. His works are characterized by the repeated appearance of the '+' signs as well as other repeated patterns. To Ding, painting is no longer functioned as a reproduction of figurative objects, but a production of direct visual experience. Starting and diverted from minimalism, Ding explores the abstract aesthetics in precise organisation.

Including plates of Ding Yi's works and his biography.
