The exhibition is part of the centennial celebration of Jiang Feng's birth. As a print-maker, an art teacher and an art theorist, Jiang has been an influential character to China's cultural progress in the 50 years of his career. In 1931, he participated in the New Print Movement initiated by Lu Xun, and in 1938, he joined the Communist Party of China. He believes that art should always reflect social reality and be revolutionary.
The volume aims to conclude the life of Jiang Feng and the influential role he played in Chinese art history by compiling Jiang's works and writings on him. The supplementary DVD also includes interview documentations and essays by Jiang.
