Suh Doho was one of the two artists chosen for the Korean Pavilion in the 49th Biennale di Venezia. The present catalogue was published in conjunction with the Biennale.
Migrated from South Korea to New York in his late twenties, Suh's installation pieces show his response to the new environment in which diverse ethnic groups and their cultures coexist. On the other hand, Suh's work has also shown interest in the dynamic relationship between individuals in the human mass society and the power of the society that controls them.
Artist biography together with a bibliography are provided in the back.
