'Dreams of Art Spaces Collected' is an artistic research project by Dorothee Albrecht, Alf Löhr, Andreas Schmid, Moira Zoitl and others for the Internationale Gesellschaft der Bildenden Künste (IGBK) in co-operation with Deutscher Künstlerbund.
The project investigates visions and developments in exhibiting and mediating contemporary fine arts starting from Europe, China and Australia. The aim is to gather various perspectives of artists living and working in these regions. The primary focus is not on museums, but rather on project spaces and initiatives run by artists and art associations. The research is based on extensive interviews with approximately 50 artists, as well as with art curators and theorists.
