Catalogue of Yao Jui-Chung's first solo exhibition entitled Everything will fall into ruin at Taipei Fine Arts Museum in 2006. Yao plays a dual role as artist and critic, producing images, theatre works, performance art and installation art as well as art criticisms. This exhibition takes "ruins" as its theme and features 192 photographs of ruins taken in different parts of Taiwan since 1996. While his early works make direct and harsh criticism of political ideology, this exhibition appears solemn and quiet, and its content is rich in religious and philosophical meanings. Artist statement and biography is provided in the catalogue.
