Review of the exhibition "Nirvana/Paradise: Reality/Illusion," by artist and photographer Montri Toemsombat. He uses Buddhist and Christian iconography in photographic self-portraits to explore the conflicts of spirituality and modern consumerism. The exhibition, on view at Kathmandu Photo Gallery through July 16, 2007 is part of La Fete, the French Cultural Programme.
