The present catalogue was first published on the occasion of Oh Hein-Kuhn's solo exhibition Girl's Act at Ilmin Museum of Art in 2004. In the artist's own words, 'Girl's Act is about the facade of high school girls in Korea. I believe the true characters of these high school girls are better depicted in the facade of their desire to merge into the entertainment media. In the traditional aesthetics of photography, facade was often regarded as a face of pretentious act. However, the trueness of these young girl's characters lie not in their interior but in their facades.'
This second edition includes biography of Oh Heinkuhn, two new essays by Lee Youngjune and Beck Jeesook, curatorial statement and a short article by the artist.
