This catalogue was published on the occasion of Thailand's participation in the 52nd Venice Biennale. The exhibition entitled Globalization... Please Slow Down aims to urge viewers to re-think the process of adopting a foreign culture, concept or philosophy of life, whether its flow is east to west, or vice versa. Both Thai artists Amrit Chusuwan and Nipan Oranniwesna focus on Buddhist-inspired concepts namely impermanence and ephemeral subjects. For the installations, they've employed perishable materials such as sand and talc powder to create space for mindfulness and meditation. The catalogue includes artist interviews, biographies of the commissioner, curator and the artists.
