This is a magazine component of the 'gloss Project', which consists of a number of limited edition magazine issues accompanied by periodic exhibitions designed to reflect and expand its content. The project has been created in response to the rapid broadening of the forms of expression found in contemporary art. These days, the domain of contemporary art - in terms of the artists' concerns, techniques, ideas, and media - has become borderless; everything is included. gloss is an Australian/Japanese art exhibition and magazin project curated by Itaru Hirano, Larissa Hjorth and Eri Otomo. Artists inlcude Martine Corompt, Masato Takasaka, Natasha Johns-Messenger, Larissa Hjorth, Akira Mori, Candy Factory, Yasuko Toyoshima, Saki Satom.
