An exhibition in New York, entitled 'Bye Bye Kitty!!! Between Heave and Hell in Contemporary Japanese Art' is held by Japan Society to exhibit a darker, more realistic face of Japanese art, in a contrast to the sense of cuteness in contemporary Japanese art works. Curated by David Elliott, the show presents a great variety of art works by different artists.
