This monograph contains images of Guan Huaibin's installation works such as Lost City, Homeland, and Yao Guan together with an essay written by the artist himself describing his works, experiences, and thoughts. Taro Amano, curator of Yokohama Museum of Art in Japan, states in the accompanying article that Guan Huaibin is 'going to, so to speak, reread memory through modern wisdom' in the fast-changing world and that it seems 'as if he bears an idealistic outlook on the world, a world , a kind of Utopia in his mind and is trying to define a new utopia for the coming new century'. Includes artist's biography.
