A review of the Chinese conceptual-artist Wenda Gu's hair installations on exhibit through September 9, 2007 at Dartmouth College's Baker-Berry Library (Hanover, New Hampshire). The main installation hanging in Baker Library entitled, "united nations: the green house," is a banner of 191 kilograms of human hair collected from 42,000 haircuts from residents of Hanover, including students, staff and faculty of Dartmouth College. In the library it hangs one level above the 1930s mural by Mexican painter Jose Clemente Orozco.
