A short television programme on Hong Kong's debut participation at the 49th Venice Biennale. It features the participating artists and their works, and also looks at the wider picture of Hong Kong contemporary art, the significance of art vis-a-vis local development, and the government's role in promoting art. Individuals interviewed include M. Cortese (Minister of Culture and Tourism, Venice), Charis Dunn (art critic), T. Oppermann (Minister of Science and Culture, Germany), Hai Bo (artist from Beijing), Ma Yingjeou (Mayor of Taipei), Dr Patrick Ho (Chairman of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council), Wong Shun Kit (Visual Arts Committee, HKADC), and Johnson Chang (curator). Generally speaking, the exhibits in the Hong Kong Pavilion were well received by international art critics and audiences.

The programme was produced by Radio Television Hong Kong and aired on 19 August 2001. In Cantonese with Chinese subtitles.
