In describing his artwork, Huang Shihchieh writes, 'I merge artificial materials, air, water and electronics to create organic living environments, installations and sculptures. I disassemble everyday electronic appliances or devices and reassemble selected parts with dissected household plastic materials. The result of these combinations forms a kinetic cause and effect system that interacts with the viewer... My work is a process that deals with the ideas of interactivity and play in conjunction with viewer participation'.
