In this publication, Thai artist Manit Sriwanichpoom shows us portraits of his fellow artists. He explains his project as follows:
'This is why I felt the need to work on a set of portraits that would be far more extreme than any portraiture I'd ever attempted before, by way of releasing some of these obscure pent-up emotions [Sriwanichpoom mentioned earlier that this was the result of the daily struggle to reconcile themselves to the so-called normal world]. the images I come up with must scratch the itch; they must release and satisfy.
For sitters, I chose my expressive artist friends. I then tried to present them in ways that would be inconceivable even to them. Whatever their particular obsession, I made them take it to extremes. No holding back, no embarrassment.'
