Context

Established in 2010, 3331 Arts Chiyoda is an artist-run alternative art space based in the renovated Rensei Junior High School in Japan. According to its website, 3331 Arts Chiyoda 'aims to break the barrier of inaccessibility often associated with art museums and instead create an art space which everyone can enter at east, including a wide range of spaces which visitors can enjoy for free.' Other than hosting events and exhibitions, they also established an artist residency programme (AIR 3331).
