This catalogue accompanies an exhibition of Indian art at Keumsan Gallery, Paju, Korea from May to June 2007. It aims to be an 'open-ended and fluid presentation' that reflects the diversity of India. The organisers have chosen to present several smaller exhibitions which complement and contradict each other rather than a large survey. One is a solo show by a senior artist and the others have been loosely structured around an approach to art-making or a particularly relevant medium. Thus, works in this catalogue are grouped under the headings 'Extended Photograpy [sic]', 'The Continuing Figurative Tradition' and 'Material Abstraction'. Artist biographies are provided.
