This publication showcases 104 paintings by Chinese artist Ji Wenyu from 1993 to 2004. Incorporating elements from popular visual cultures, as well as classical paintings from the canon of western art history, Ji's oeuvre presents to the viewer liaisons that decontextualise and recontextualise the images Ji has taken, and indicates a new possibility of locating meaning.
