This material features the artist’s on-going project ‘Jizoing.’ ‘Jizo’ is a small Buddhist saint figure which is placed on the road. Ozawa has placed the figure as he traveled all over the world in some way; sometimes by drawing a figure on the ground, or by making a figure with mud. He then photographed them within the context of the places he visited. This material shows the map of the places Ozawa placed ‘Jizo,’ and selected photographs with the related materials, such as hand written memos, train tickets and receipts in scrap book format. There is an interview with the artist by Yukie Kamiya at the end.
