La Fete is Bangkok's annual French cultural festival, featuring music, theatre, film and art programs.  In an exhibiton of photographic self-portraits, Thai artist Montri Toemsombat broaches themes of the practice and transmission of Buddhism in Nirvana/Paradise, Illusion/Reality.  In an exhibition entitled Some Proposals for the Next Future, young Thai artists (including Wit Pimkanchanapong and Arin Rungjang) and  French artists offer new perspectives on modernity.  Conceptual artist Pinaree Sanpitak has his own exhibition entitled The Place and the Plate curated by Cedric Morisset and Gridhiya Gawewong.  The festival runs from June 6-28, 2007.
