This publication is the culmination of one year of programming at 4A Centre for Contemporary Asian Art, Sydney, which included mid-career solo projects, curated group exhibitions and performances by artists from Australia and around the world. 'Last Words' sought to tackle issues such as language, communication, memory and history in an age of cultural diversity and globalisation. With documentation and analysis of key works, this book provides an insight into updated discussions on contemporary Asian and Asian-Australian art. Includes artists' and contributors' biographies.
