This is a monograph of landscape paintings executed in ink-and-brush technique by the Hong Kong artist Leung Kui-ting. Leung embarked on his artistic career by experimenting with ink painting in the 60s. This was followed by a long devotion to Western art and eventually a return to ink painting from the mid 1980s onwards. In the paintings, drawings and sketches presented here, we can see that Leung has ruled out any compromise with conventional modes. His art is underlined by the progressiveness of modern ink painting. A biography of the artist is included.
