This catalogue accompanies the exhibition 'Made in Popland' on view at the National Museum of Contemporary Art, Korea from 12 November 2010 to 20 February 2011. It features artists from Korea, China, and Japan who employ Pop Art-like strategies in their work. The exhibition is divided into four sections: 'The Heroes of the General Public', 'The Society of the Spectacle', 'The Return of the Repressed', and 'The Pain of Others'. A curatorial essay is included in this catalogue, as well as contributions by critics Huang Du (China), Jinsup Yoon (Korea), and Sawaragi Noi (Japan), who attempt to locate the artists within the contemporary art scenes of their respective countries. List of works and artist biographies are included.
