Manuel Ocampo, at 27, is a young contemporary painter who has been labeled a rising star. He has beeen assessed favorably by Time Magazine, the Los Angeles Times, and was praised by Robert Hughes in his review of a group exhibit at Los Angeles MOCA in 1992. Ocampo was included in Documenta IX, and has been exhibited and collected by Saatchi, as well as others.
