A solo exhibition of abstract oil paintings by Bucharest artist Milenko Prvacki (Director of Fine Art, LASALLE-SIA College of the Arts), held at Taksu in 2004. Prvacki's paintings are a continuation of the engagement of the language of abstraction that began with early pioneers such as Kandinsky and Mondrian, through to Rothko and Pollock, and later still by Ryman and Frank Stella. Essentially concerned with 'the deconstruction and re-invention of painting's visual language,' Prvacki's paintings reveals 'the problematic relationship between abstraction and representation in painting'. Article by Eugene Tan, interview by Ian Woo, plus biographical information.
