This catalogue is published in conjunction with the exhibition Min Joung-ki_WalkingScape from October 2 to November 14, 2004 at Marronnier Art Center of the Korean Culture & Arts Foundation, Seoul.

Min Joung-ki drew much attention from critics and audiences with his intelligent and elaborate style of painting in the 1980s when he was a member of the group, 'reality and Utterance'. His excellent kitsch works such as 'Embrace', 'Washing Face' and 'Pig', which reinterpreted styles of barbershop paintings, were especially inspirational and admired by young artists. It was probably because his works pulled down institutional boundaries of modern art and showed the possibility of restoring artistic sensibility found in everyday life.

Artist biography is included.
