Mont-de-Marsan Sculptures is a festival of sculptures held every three years in the French city of Mont-de-Marsan where sculptures and installations are displayed in the streets of the city. The 1997 Mont-de-Marsan Sculptures celebrated contemporary Japanese sculptures. Eight Japanese artists were invited to display their works which can be seen in the present catalogue. Brief description of each of the works are provided.
