The exhibition presents an overview of a tumultuous period in Chinese art history, that between the Taiping Rebellion (1851-1864) and the Cultural Revolution (1966-1976). The exhibits were all from the Fabian Collection. The exhibitions aimed at showing the importance of Chinese classical tradition on the modern artworks.
