It is the catalogue published in conjunction with the solo exhibition by Chiharu NISHIZAWA at the Tokyo Gallery in 2005.
The figures we see in the works of Nishizawa are images of these kinds of highly typical people of Japanese society and there are elements somewhere in their images that evoke the various issue of Japanese society. The bird's-eye-view compositions reminiscent of Yamato-e paintings also serve to create a sense of the objective eye looking at society and intensify the sense of these people's existence as homogenous social units.
Artist biography is included.
