'NJP Summer Festival — 21 Rooms' is inspired by Nam June Paik's Symphony for 20 Rooms (1961), a score composed of a series of descriptions of sound installations and interactions with the audience. The present Nam June Paik Center project took place from July and September 2011 and consists of 20 individual programmes including exhibitions, performances, and workshops. Audience members follow the score suggested by the participating artists, crossing the genres while traversing the space from piece to piece to complete the '21st room'.

Artist biographies are provided in this catalogue. A supplementary booklet containing the instructions that comprise the score for '21 Rooms' is attached.

Other participating artists: VjVISUALOOP (Italy)
