'Non-sect Racial' is the third Contemporary Photography Series of the Yokohama Museum of Art.

This catalogue of the exhibition presents nine artists from Japan and overseas. "Non-sect Radical" comes from a word coined and very often heard in Japan during the era from the end of the 1960s to the early 1970s to describe those who did not belong to any particular camp among the student demonstrators of various persuasion. They are not indifferent to politics but rather were seriously committed in even more radical ways.

Selected biographies of the artists are included.
