Catalogue of joint exhibition held at Tochigi Prefectural Museum of Fine Arts in 1999. The current exhibition involves the substantial question of how art can relate itself to the spiritual and bodily pains experienced before death during our lifetime. Eighty works by fourteen contemporary Japanese artists are presented in the exhibition under four sections, "Inner Life', "Inner Poetry", "Gush Out from Inner Spirit", and "Continuation of Inner Time". Artist biographies are provided in this catalogue.
