OK. Video: Jakarta Video Art Festival 2005 features works of video and video installation from Indonesia and 16 other countries. Using piracy, re-mixing and hacking as a strategy, these works represent an attempt to give critical comments and to subvert existing social norms, ideas or history. Also included in the catalogue is a section on City Project. This component of the festival consists of a series of collaborative projects conducted in Jakarta, Purwokerto and Yogyakarta between May and June 2005. Images of works are accompanied by individual texts. Artist biographies are also provided.
