The present publication contains documentation of Yukio Fujimoto's art project in Wakanoura, Japan. From November 2001 to March 2002, the artist installed a chair with two long pipes at Mt. Takatsushi. The sitter can thus listen to the 'uncanny moaning' sounds through the pipes while looking at the picturesque scenery of Wakanoura. In the words of the artist, 'I hope that through the commonplace act of listening, this art project on the hill above Wakanoura will enable us to think about what gives Mt. Takatsushi its special appeal. I hope to fuel inspired thinking about what Mt. Takatsushi is and can and should become.' The book also includes documentation of a public workshop which involved the participation of locals from Wakanoura.
