A Chinese translation of the anthology of writings by Paris-based curator, Hou Hanru originally published in 2002.

This collection of writings and interviews is divided into four sections: 'From China to the International,' 'From "Exile" to the Global,' 'Global Cities and Art,' and 'Interviews, Dialogues, Conversations.', addressing questions of globalization and identity and understanding contemporary art practice as it exists beyond geographical and regional boundaries. Many issues discussed in this publication are still very relevant today.

With foreword by Hou Hanru and preface by Yu Hsiaohwei.  Includes interviews with Hou Hanru by Carolee Thea, Wouter Davidts, Tijl Vanmeirhaeghe, Annette W. Balkema and Henk Slager.
