In 2007, three of seven artists to win the annual Silpathorn Awards come from the field of visual arts: Vasan Sitthiket, Rirkrit Tiravanija and Pinaree Sanpitak. The awards are given by the Culture Ministry's Office of Contemporary Art and Culture (OCAC) to support artists aged 30 to 50 and include a cash prize of 100,000 baht.
