Published on the occasion of Peng Wei's solo exhibition 'Body and Robe' at Tina Keng Gallery, Taipei. Peng Wei's work is anchored by the aesthetics of classical Chinese literati painting yet expresses the contemporary living condition. Traditional garments and embroidered shoes have been her staple subjects for many years. Recently she has extended her practice to three dimensional objects and installations by transferring her delicate renderings of traditional motifs to mannequins created from xuan paper and transparent partition screens.

Includes republished interviews as well as contributions by Chen Danqing, Hu Jiujiu, Feng Boyi, and Xu Lei. Artist's chronology included.
