Catalogue of exhibition by Simryn Gill and Tino Djumini at NUS Museum, Singapore in 2007. The two photographic series - 'Dalam' (2001) by Simryn Gill and 'Relatives' ('Kerabat', 2006) by Tino Djumini - are conceived and produced by the respective artists at different times, motivated by different aims and conceptual perspectives. They delicately implicate by different biographic disclosure - as part of the concerns relating to self and its constitutive social definitions - and the agency of reading the photograph.
