This is a small catalogue published in conjunction with the exhibition 'Pilot Micro Multiplex I Mall' at Bait Al Shamsi, Sharjah from October to December 2012. Conceived as an experiment to combine the cultural and commercial by transforming the site into a micro mall or shopping centre, the exhibition consists of three projects: Heman Chong's LEM 1 second-hand science fiction bookshop, Dirk Fleischmann's myconceptstore displaying products amassed during the artist's past decade of developing economic projects, and Jun Yang's a proposal for a public space - a cinema and Micro M, interventions into how the building is perceived and used.
