This is a catalogue published to accompany the exhibition entitled Plastic Age: Art and Design at The Museum of Modern Art, Saitama. A pack of 2 booklets: exhibition catalogue and text together with a loose-leaf on the chronology of plastic art and design.

The foreword in the text booklet highlights the unique qualities of plastic: lightness, flexibility and transparency. This exhibition looks at many facets of plastic, exploring its historical development and applications in the design of products suited to the real need of ordinary people as well as focusing on its use in the visual arts. (Written in both Japanese and English)
