Solo exhibition of two-dimensional works and paintings by London-born Malaysian artist, Yusof Majid. Held 26 September to 12 October 1997 at the Valentine Willie Fine Art, Kuala Lumpur. Majid's paintings fall into two distinct categories. There are the thickly textured and earth encrusted panels recalling Minimalism in the Seventies; and then there are the large thinly painted canvasses with simple signs or symbols. Introductory essay by Michael Thorpe of Central St. Martin's College of Art & Design, London. Biographical details also included.
