'Since the moving out of the Kai Tak Airport, Hong Kong, in the 1990s, there have been social concerns on the cultural heritages, greening and community planning in Eastern Kowloon District where there is the biggest concentration of public housing estates for grass-root communities in Hong Kong. The booklet is an account on the evolution of the Kai Tak River "Water · Green · Heritage" Project that begins from a basic belief that a good community design not only can improve the living conditions for the residents, but can also bring forth sustainable development and strengthen their sense of belonging in the long run.' - from the preface

Produced in conjunction with 'Green through the Kai Tak River' exhibition at 1a Space, Hong Kong (exhibition catalogue is available separately).
